Whereby it is agreed by and between the parties hereto as follows:

The said Stephen Triscott (hereinafter called the person engaged) is hereby selected for appointment as a Foreman of Masons on the Praya Reclamation Works in Hong Kong on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth.

The term of engagement of the person engaged shall be Three years from the date of his arrival in Hong Kong which period may be extended as provided in Clause 10.

The person engaged shall proceed to Hong Kong at such time as shall be prescribed by the Crown Agents for the Colonies the Government providing him with railway fare third class to port of embarkation and a free passage second class to Hong Kong and (subject to Clause 7) back to England including railway fare third class to place of abode on the expiration of this Agreement.
